Junior Events

And we begin with the juniors because it looks like they are having lots of fun. There are two events for the 6th to 8th category - Mad Ads and Rangoli making.

Around 16 schools are taking part in the mad ads competition. There are a maximum number of four people in a team. They are allowed to use props, charts, costumes etc. They have been divided into three groups. Each group has a separate room where they have been given 1 hour to prepare. Each teamhas been given 2+1 minutes to perform. Each team has been given a separate topic. They will be judged on the following criteria -
1) Humor
2)Creativity
3)Originality
4)Relevance to the topic given

The students of Poorna Learning Centre were given "Heavy Water" as their topic. They decided to come up with a poster on the topic and then do their advertisement based on it. They said,"It is an amazing experience to be here. The school is really nice and the speech by Pr. Ramaswamy was also very informative and interesting". The competitive spirit had set in and everyone was trying to outdo the other schools in their "Mad Ad"

The Rangoli competition was also a success. The students were given an area of 3x3 sq. feet. Each team was named after an element.
